Adelaide Glenn serves the communities of Bridlewood, Evergreen, Evergreen Estates, Millrise, Shawnee Slopes, Shawnessy, Silverado and Somerset. Adelaide Glenn District was formerly known as Minihapa District which split into Shawnessy and Minihapa in the 1990s. In 2010 the two districts joined back together and changed the district name to Adelaide Glenn. Pioneer Adelaide Glenn and her husband John were the Calgary area’s first documented European settlers, homesteading near Fish Creek in 1873. A source of support for the women settlers who followed, she served as the area’s midwife, delivering so many children that she was known as “the Grandmother of Midnapore.”

As a District we have four Annual Events: Winter Dance, Thinking Day Celebration, Year End Event - Girls, Year End Event - Guiders. In June 2017, the 100th Pathfinders did a three-day trip exploring southern Alberta. The 54th Pathfinders travelled to the UK and Scotland in July 2017. The 56th Pathfinders fundraised for a trip to the Quebec Winter Festival in early 2018.
